1. Neuropathy diagnostic devices
Biothesiometer Plus (Made in Italy)
The most compact, reliable and easy to use device for performing vibration sensitivity tests. A new device, completely re-engineered and extremely innovative. An advanced technology has allowed to further reduce the device size, while ensuring ever so accurate and reliable measurements. Thanks to its particular technology, the Biothesiometer plus is the only operator free biothesiometer. By mean of its piezoelectric motor the variability of results due to the different pressure exerted by operators is completely eliminated. Indeed, the device allows for a correct test execution and guarantees consistent readings, even if collected by different operators. Furthermore, the new device has been designed to prevent loss of calibration of the vibration mechanism. For this reason, the device does not require periodic calibrations. The device is powered by powerful rechargeable batteries to ensure better performance.
Termo Skin (Made in Italy)
The NEW device for the assessment of Thermal Sensitivity equipped with an infrared laser thermometer. It allows to carry out the following tests:
-Thermal Discrimination Threshold test
-Thermal Difference between the two feet (Charcot foot)
The Thermal Sensitivity Screening tests represent an extremely valuable method to study disorders of the peripheral nervous system. The tests are based on the ability to perceive heat and cold by small peripheral nerve fibers. The infrared laser thermometer allows to measure the skin temperature and to assess any differences between the two feet, which is very useful for early diagnosis of Charcot foot.
Thermpix (Made in USA)
Simplified infrared thermography to non-invasively:
- View and assess thermal patterns
- Display accurate thermal images
- Record and save images
Imaging with the ThermpixTM System reveals temperature differences & displays the patterns graphically as an adjunct diagnostic imaging modality to duplex ultrasound.

Bailey Monofilaments
THE BAILEY RETRACTABLE ACCURATE MONOFILAMENT
Now regarded as a cornerstone in the screening and assessment of the diabetic foot. The Bailey Retractable Monofilament is used widely throughout the world.
The most important feature of our monofilament is it’s accuracy. A patient who is unable to feel a 10g monofilament on their foot is said to have lost protective sensation. This increases the patients’ risk of developing a foot ulcer so an accurate monofilament is essential. The use of an accurate monofilament is recommended in the NG19 Guideline for Diabetic Foot Problems (National Institute for Clinical Excellence). SIGN 116 management of diabetes (Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network) and the ADA (American Diabetes Association). The Bailey Retractable Monofilament is accurate for 10,000 ‘bounces’ equating to 1000 patients. It is the most economical tool for use in screening and assessment.
